The course took place over 11 weeks of theoretical and practical activities within an unparalleled naturalistic setting, during which various topics related to marine-coastal monitoring for species of conservation significance were explored.
The Campus was held in Golfo Aranci, nestled in the wild northeast of Sardinia.
The area is a Special Protection Area (SPA) and a Site of Community Interest (SCI), a place rich in marine biodiversity and a residential area for the bottlenose coastal dolphin. These aspects, and many others, made it the perfect location for an in-depth course on techniques for studying and monitoring the marine environment.
